Parklon, a mat specialist company, announced on the 29th that it has implemented the Korean RE100 (hereinafter referred to as K-RE100) and received a ‘Renewable Energy Use Confirmation’ from the Korea Energy Agency. 


K-RE100 is the Korean version of RE100, a voluntary global campaign in which companies seek to procure 100% of their electricity from renewable energy.

As carbon neutrality has recently become a global trend, corporate social responsibility and Interest in RE100 is increasing in terms of ESG (environmental, social, governance) management activities. In order to implement K-RE100, 

it is possible to use renewable energy electricity and receive a ‘Renewable Energy Use Confirmation’ from the Korea Energy Agency for the performance. 


This RE-100 Implementation means include green premium, REC purchase, third-party PPA, equity participation, and self-construction. 

An official said, "Parklon has begun production and development of products by building its own eco-friendly solar energy at the Paju Logistics Center, Yangju Branch, and Yangju Urethane Business  Division." 


"Parklon is actively participating in ESG management activities, including participation in the Korean RE100 program. Using renewable energy solar energy to reduce carbon emissions, 

“We have introduced innovations in workplace culture, such as support for our own welfare fund, and an employee profit dividend system,” he explained. 

He continued, “To overcome the climate crisis, our company also joined RE100 with a sense of responsibility.
